Classic Buttermilk Coleslaw Recipe

- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup white sugar
- ¼ cup whole milk
- ¼ cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons grated yellow onion or white onion
- 2 ½ tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 ½ tablespoons white wine vinegar
- ¾ teaspoon kosher salt or half that amount of sea salt
- ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
