      Hi Susan,
I'm enjoying your countdowns. I appreciated todays. It got me started thinking about New Years Eve. I don't worry too much about it as we only host our 7yr and 3yr old grandchildren. I still like to make it a little special. We have been vegetarians for 34 years. Early on we made a tradition of having a spread of cheese for New Years Eve. I don't serve straight cheese any other time of the year. Looking over the appetizers you listed reminded me that I had wanted to make the Brussels Sprouts Chips. I had printed out the recipe when you first had it up but had forgotten about it. Thank you for the reminder. I know 3 of us are going to love them. My granddaughter has an aversion to anything green.

Thanks so much for your note, TerriSue! I'm so glad you're enjoying the countdowns. I've not done any roundups like this before, so really appreciate the feedback. Hope you like the brussels sprouts chips. They don't stay crisp to the second day, so they're for eating fairly soon after you make them. But I've also tossed leftover crisps once they get a little limp into pasta or grains dishes. I've even added them to scramble eggs with a little swiss cheese. We'll have 5 of our grandchildren here, arriving New Years Day and NONE of them will eat anything green. Sigh. 🙂
