10 Best Cauliflower Recipes You Will Want to Try

Modified: Aug 23, 2025 by Susan Pridmore · This post may contain affiliate links · 2 Comments

This post shares ten of my best cauliflower recipes that have been favorites with my readers through the years. The recipes range from riced cauliflower and cauliflower steaks to soup and a Middle Eastern style roasted whole cauliflower.

I hope you find a new one that becomes a favorite in your kitchen too.

Four of my best cauliflower dishes for fall (soup, riced cauliflower, whole roasted cauliflower, and cauliflower steaks) with text overlay that says 10 Cauliflower Best Recipes.

One of the bonuses when cooking with cauliflower is that this vegetable goes so well with a wide range of flavors and can be prepared a number of different ways. You can roast cauliflower in a hot oven on a sheet pan or in an air fryer. Steam it, sauté it, or just add cauliflower florets to a plate of crudites with a creamy feta dip and eat them raw.

Additionally, it's a vegetable that could easily be described as a superfood along with other cruciferous vegetables. And it's an excellent low-carb substitute for potatoes.

    Favorite Cauliflower Recipes

There are a lot of recipes on this blog website that include cauliflower as a key ingredient which you can easily find through this Cauliflower Category Page. But the below have been some of the most popular with my readers through the years.

    Cilantro-Lime Cauliflower Rice

A bowl of cauliflower rice sauteed with carrots with 2 serving spoons.

Turn a head of cauliflower into "rice" using a box grater, food processor, or a microprocessor and make this Cilantro-Lime Cauliflower Rice with Coconut dish. It's a perfect side dish all year round. Feel free to use fresh parsley if cilantro isn't your thing.

Cauliflower Steaks with Chimichurri Lentils and Tahini

Cauliflower steaks over lentils and chimichurri and topped with scallions and tahini sauce.

This dish of cauliflower steaks over lentils tossed with a chimichurri sauce is finished with a tahini sauce. It's easy enough for a vegan weeknight dinner and fancy enough for guests. You can either purchase the chimichurri sauce or make homemade chimichurri using fresh herbs in your own kitchen.

Curried Mac 'n Cheese with Cauliflower

Curried Mac 'n Cheese with Cauliflower topped with breadcrumbs served in an oven-safe pan.

Chop up cauliflower pieces for casseroles like this Curried Mac 'n Cheese with Cauliflower.

    Cauliflower Tetrazzini

Cauliflower Tetrazzini made with rosated poblano peppers in a casserole dish with some dished out onto a plate.

Or make this Cauliflower Tetrazzini with Poblano Peppers casserole that is mostly Italian with a little Mexican added with the pepper.

Mediterranean Roasted Cauliflower Salad with Crispy Chickpeas

Warm cauliflower salad with sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, and crispy chickpeas all tossed in a miso dressing. It's all in a cast iron skillet.

Make this warm Mediterranean cauliflower salad with crispy chickpeas by tossing cauliflower florets and chickpeas in a little olive oil, roasting them on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and finally sautéing them with sun-dried tomatoes and Kalamata olives. Toss this warm flavor-packed salad in an oregano vinaigrette before serving.

Lentil Shephard Pie Topped with Mashed Cauliflower and Potatoes

Shepherd's pie made with lentils and topped with mashed potatoes with a serving spoon.

This vegetarian lentil shepherd's pie replaces the traditional meat with legumes and keeps all the umami flavor of a meaty dish with caramelized onions and mushrooms.

Cauliflower Scampi (With and Without Pasta)

A serving platter heaped with cauliflower scampi with pasta.

This cauliflower scampi features steamed cauliflower tossed in a sauce made with a few simple ingredients you likely have on hand. Serve with pasta or without, depending on your own preferences.

Roasted Cauliflower with Tahini and Dates

Zaatar roasted cauliflower, tossed with harissa tahini, dates and fresh herbs.

This roasted cauliflower and tahini dish hits all the right notes of spicy, sweet, savory and tangy. What makes this roasted cauliflower recipe a truly great recipe is adding a little harissa and dill weed to the tahini sauce and finishing the dish with dates, fresh dill, and fresh mint.

Hearty Cauliflower and White Bean Soup

A pot of hearty cauliflower soup with white beans, topped with cheese.

This hearty white bean soup is loaded with cauliflower, leeks, and adds a little kick from jalapeño pepper. An optional topping that's perfect with this soup is a basil pesto.

Best Middle Eastern Roasted Whole Cauliflower

Whole roasted cauliflower, with tahini sauce and smokey paprika dressing.

This Middle Eastern whole roasted cauliflower calls for roasting a whole head of cauliflower until it's charred and caramelized at the edges, covering it in a smoky paprika dressing, and serving it on tahini sauce. It's my favorite way to serve cauliflower as a main dish.
